Today was just sort of depressing. Most of it was due to my weigh-in, while on Monday I was at 179.4 and Wednesday at 177.2, today, even after running almost 4 miles, I was at 178.0. Wrong way! Man, it is so easy to put weight on but much harder to take it off.
Another part of it came with the knowledge that the TSA is trying to [expand it’s reach][1] outside of the airports and the fact that our politicians seem dedicated to making it worse. I so hope that Romney or Paul get the Republican nomination because that will free me up to vote Green. I don’t even know who the Green party candidate is, but until we can break this one party system down into small pieces the country is doomed.
But other things went well. While it started off cold, the day was overall quite pleasant, and it looks like it will extend into the weekend. Jake came over to help install an outlet in the cow barn (on the wall next to where I park the tractor so that I can put it on a trickle charger). He thought we were going to have to take apart 40 feet or so of conduit but it turns out that we were able to hook into the live power quite easily (he didn’t realize that one of the exterior lights was switched on by a sensor and not a throw switch) and the job took less than two hours, with the obligatory hour of bullshitting included.
Anyway, looking forward to the weekend and getting even more stuff organized. So far, 2012, so good.
