Alfas and Fireworks

That was one of the faster weeks of my life. It’s hard to believe that I’ve been in Australia for seven days already.

During that time, I believe I’ve seen the sun once (grin), but outside of that the trip has been brilliant.

As I write this, Andrea should be a couple of hours outside of LA and over the Pacific. I can’t wait to meet up with her tonight, although I doubt she’ll be herself for a day or so.

I’ve added a couple of more pictures to the gallery. While the sun was out a bit yesterday, it also rained off and on all day, and part of that was during a walk Euan and I took from the World Trade Center to the 321 Building (the main offices of ECV). I did get a snapshot of a late model Alfa (not available in the states):

Last night was quiet. I walked down the street to “Duds and Suds” to do laundry and then back to the hotel to finish re-reading the last Harry Potter book. It made me eager to read the sixth (and as yet unpublished one) so I went to J.K. Rowling’s

website
. It is probably one of the best, flash enabled sites I’ve seen.

The hotel I am staying in is next to the Crown Casino. Last night, as I was heading up to my room, they had their “fireworks” show. Like the Bellagio fountains in Las Vegas, this is when a set of large columns next to the casino come to life with a choreographed dance of flames.

It is also quite loud.

Well, I need to go check out now, and since I have a few hours to myself before I need to leave for the airport, I’m going to go wander a bit. I’ll upload more when I get the chance.
