Okay, time for one more update on Blaze the cat.

As you may be aware (doubtful, since no one reads this darn thing), one of our cats, Blaze, developed for unknown reasons a swollen pancreas and gall bladder that required surgery.

In order to minimize irritation, he had to be fed through a tube for a couple of weeks. This was a real pain, and we were very glad when he started eating “real” food again.

A weekend ago his appetite had improved to the point that we no longer used the “J-tube” to feed him, and on Wednesday they took the tube out. Since then he has become and eating machine, which is good since he needs to gain back about three pounds, as well as grow back all of the hair they shaved off.

Diamond, on the other hand, has no need to gain weight and seems a bit put out because of the attention Blaze is receiving (not to mention the extra food).
