This morning’s 3PS weight was 175.8.
Starting weight: 224.8
Current weight: 175.8
Total lost: 49.0
Last weight: 177.8
1 week difference: -2.0
So, yes, I am one good poop away from posting a 50 pound loss in less than five months.
This week’s weigh-in was a little surprising, since I spent the middle of the week in San Antonio, Texas. It’s known for good food, but not so much for healthy food. For example, our first lunch was at Mama Lee’s
This is a soul food joint where I had fried catfish, collards cooked with bacon, okra and tomatoes cooked with Andouille sausage and a cornbread muffin.
Nummers.
So I was surprised to see this on the scale:
I still have some looseness where I don’t want it, but I’m very happy with my weight at the moment. It’s like I can see the end of the tunnel. My hope is that I’ll be able to hover around 175 yet always remain below 180.
When I started this I promised myself a nice suit if I could maintain the weight loss for six months. Since that works out to be pretty close to Christmas, I think that’s what I want Santa to bring to me this year. While I like Armani, I’ll probably go with something more Brooks Brothers. Something timeless, since as often as I wear a suit I’ll be wearing it for awhile.
Speaking of owning clothes for awhile, Back in 1986 I spent a lot of money (well, at the time) on a pair of Liz Claiborne off-white slacks. They didn’t have a size that would fit, but I liked the pants so much I bought a smaller pair, figuring I’d lose the weight to fit into them at some point.
That was 25 years ago.
I still have those pants, since they were never worn, and so I decided to put them on. They were a little loose, and I’m not sure Andrea would be seen in public with me were I to wear them. Too Don Johnson.
While I don’t have any records of what I weighed back then, I can only assume this is probably the least I’ve weighed in my adult life. Trippy.
To me it seemed like I lost the weigh pretty fast, but if you look at a graph:
It’s been pretty steady.
Anyway, I’m done now. There is still the slimmest chance that I can break 175 before I leave on Monday for Yurrip, but I am switching my focus toward getting fit from losing weight. Perhaps I’ll run a 10K before the year is out, or buy a bicycle. But since I know the three readers of this blog will be curious, I plan to post my weight monthly starting on July 3rd (six months since I started).
