Back in May of 2018, Andrea and I took a trip to Wisconsin where we got to visit Taliesin, a studio and school built by Frank Lloyd Wright.
I got introduced to Wright’s work through Fallingwater, which is located in Fayette County, PA, near where my parents were raised. I find his aesthetic attractive, but I’m not sure I would live in one of the houses he designed. For example at Taliesin he didn’t believe in having tall ceilings, so my head is usually just inches from hitting it in most rooms.
Anyway, as we were wandering through the house on our tour, this lamp on Wright’s desk caught my eye, as it is almost identical to a lamp that lived on my father’s desk for decades.

When my father moved into our basement last November, he didn’t need the lamp anymore so now it sits on my desk.
I don’t think it has made me any more creative but one can hope.
