We owned our last house for over 25 years. One of the hard parts of moving was that we had the old place “dialed in”, having spent over two decades getting everything just right, and now to some degree we have to start over.
At the old farm we had a nice garden. Some evenings during the summer all of the food for dinner would come out of it. But we never had a greenhouse.
Andrea had her eye on a really nice greenhouse from Backyard Discovery
and recently it went on sale on the Sam’s Club website.
It showed up Saturday.
You can’t tell by just looking at the pictures, but almost all of those boxes are over 100 pounds and three are over 200. Sheesh.
This is a big project (along with a number of other big projects we have going on) but the hardest part will be getting the base just right. The current plan is to dig a trench that matches the footprint of the building and fill it with concrete, and then in the middle use some stone we have left over from another project along with screenings.
The wood also has to be sealed before assembly. That isn’t the hard part but figuring out where to put everything as the sealant dries will be a challenge.
It should be fun to use once we are done. In the meantime the wood makes the garage smell sooooo good.
