Tomorrow the high temperature is probably going to be near freezing, with lows tonight and tomorrow night plunging into the teens (Fahrenheit for those folks overseas who read this). That is about as cold as it gets here, and combined with 25-30 mph winds, it is not going to be pleasant.
(Euan in Melbourne wrote to me: Saturday was 37C no wind, made for a sticky night. Back to a more pleasant 25C today. Made me want to break out in a chorus of Blue Sky Mine.)
So I washed the Alfa today. Why would I do something like that? Well, it rarely gets dirty (compared to my pickup, which gets washed once a year whether it needs it or not) but my good friends John and Susan are showing up on Friday, and I need it to look nice or else John will yell at me.
(grin)
Not really, but John does take amazing care of his cars, and living in Indiana it’s not that easy this time of year. I am really looking forward to the visit, since it has been either 2 or 3 years since I’ve spent more than a half hour with them.
For those of you waiting for e-mails, sorry. Things are crazy at the moment. I worked both days this weekend and managed to get my work Inbox down to four messages (unheard of, really, I usually have 50-300 messages) and my personal inbox down to 12.
I also need to figure out why I have been getting blog spam. This blog requires a password to access it (your comments here are only viewable by a small number of people) but it is part of my friend Ben’s MT installation. My guess is that the spammers have found a way to post via the main blog page itself.
So until I can figure this out, I’ve turned on MT Blacklisting. I’ll try to get your comments up as fast as I can.
