Man, I am tired today. My Inbox is my to-do list, and my work Inbox had over 550 messages in it, some over a year old. In a marathon session I managed to get that down to less than 100, so if you are wondering why I haven’t replied to your personal message … now ya know.
I am itching for a DMBC …
Yes, I got a deal at the ellipses store.
I messed around trying to get The Fool’s Errand onto a disk I could use in my compact Mac, but ran into some issues. While the files look fine under Panther, Panther doesn’t seem to recognize floppy drives. I can’t get the one OS9 box I have access to to run Stuffit, and the “classic” filesystem is weird and not happy with the OSX command line, so I can’t just send them over the network.
Oh, well. The compact Mac acquisition did lead me to drop a note to Michele Pennell, which immediately bounced. It seems that lotus.com doesn’t really exist anymore. Thank goodness for Google, which lead me to this picture on a Ed Brill’s
weblog in Australia:
He was kind enough to give me her updated address. Although she got rid of all of her old Mac stuff years ago, she did just have her 34th birthday (March 13th) which she spent on this
boat. It’s summertime in Australia – must be nice. Ah, to be 34 again …
