“had me dribbling snot mixed with sweat all over the handle bars of the trainer”
Okay, Euan may wonder why I don’t read his blog more often. Mainly it’s because it is on livejournal.com and is password protected, so my RSS reader can’t see it. I pretty much don’t have time to read anything if it doesn’t come across NetNewsWire.
Then again, it could be prose like the sentence above.
I met Euan last June in Melbourne, and he and his (now) wife Suzie are the chief reasons among many that I wish Australia was closer. Aussie Rules Football is another, although the small amount of time I can devote to sport is spent on NCAA basketball these days (Go Devils!).
The best news out of the blog is that Euan and Suzie are now proud homeowners. Most houses in Australia, or Melbourne at least, are sold at auction, and back in February they bid and won. Maybe it’s my slow connection, but I didn’t see any details about the house, but I am sure its lovely.
We’re flirting with Spring here. I just had the season’s first strawberries and fresh cream, although they are nowhere near the manna I’ll be eating in a month. Sunday was warm and in the 70s, but tonight it’s below freezing.
The warm weather motivated me to run cable from the study to the den, so now I can watch TV and surf the web (although on my notoriously slow dial-up link). I’m hoping that it will also motivate me to post more often.
