Many people call this season “Spring”. I prefer the season of self delusion. I have deluded myself into thinking that this year will be different and I’ll actually be able to keep up with everything on the farm.
This weekend the yard got mowed, weeds got pulled, limbs, sticks and twigs were collected, and the garden was started.
Everything seems under control, but talk to me in six weeks when the raptors get out.
In case you are curious, we’ve planted okra (using seeds from last year), a number of herbs, squash, zucchini, corn, green beans, peas, cucumbers and tomatoes.
The only downside was that along the way I pulled a muscle in my upper back. It’s a bit painful and I hope it gets better soon.
